For the Indian automotive market, the last two years have been the most difficult. The sales dropped dramatically, with no sales for a whole month across all brands. The market, on the other hand, is making a robust rebound with favorable growth. Maruti Suzuki’s sales in India increased significantly in July 2021. Maruti Suzuki sold four of the top five automobiles in the country last month. Improvements in buyer attitude, large-scale immunization drives, and relaxation of government regulations have all contributed to a considerable increase in car sales in the country. Read on to find out more about the top five car models sold in the country in July 2021.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R

In July 2021, the Wagon R remained the best-selling model in the country. Maruti Suzuki sold 22,836 Wagon R units in the country in July 2021, up from 13,515 units in the same time last year, representing a 69% increase. The Wagon R’s success can be ascribed to its CNG option, which combats growing fuel prices. As of March 2021, the WagonR was the third best-selling automobile in India, with 14 variations contributing to its success. It comes in six different colors and has a boxy external shape. Other prominent features include a 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, as well as safety features such as dual airbags, rear parking sensors, and ABS with EBD.

Hyundai Grand i10 Nios

The Grand i10 Nios, which comes in four variants: Magna, Asta, Era, and Sportz, is Hyundai’s sole hatchback to make the list of top-selling automobiles in India in 2021. It is larger than its predecessor, the Grand i10. It includes features such as an 8-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, wireless charging, Arrays sound system, rear AC vents, a 5.0-inch digital display with MID, and automatic climate control. ABS with EBD, two front airbags, and rear parking sensors are all standard safety equipment.

Hyundai Venue

Following in the footsteps of the Creta, the Hyundai Venue features boxy external components that give it a young appearance. This variant has an all-black interior and features an electric sunroof, wireless charging, cruise control, and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It provides remote access to door locks, ignition start-up, and AC temperature via a smartphone app called BlueLink. Six airbags, IRVM-integrated RSA and SOS buttons, ABS, ESC, and distress alarm buttons are among the safety features.

Maruti Swift

Maruti Suzuki recently gave the Swift a little facelift, as well as an efficient Dual-jet K12 engine. Expectedly, Swift climbed to the top of the H1 sales chart, with 97,312 units sold. Maruti Suzuki Swift receives a new Dual-jet engine with 90PS and 113 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual and AMT transmission. Ex-showroom, the Swift range starts at Rs 5.73 lakh and goes up to Rs 8.40 lakh. Unsurprisingly, the Maruti Suzuki Swift claimed the top spot, with 21,714 units sold in March 2021, a 153 percent increase over March 2020.

Maruti Baleno

The Baleno is India’s second best-selling automobile, available in four variants: Alpha, Zeta, Sigma, and Delta. This model’s exterior highlights include LED projector headlights, LED taillights, and 16-inch alloy wheels. The inside features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Despite the lack of a diesel engine option, Maruti Suzuki sold over 93,823 Balenos. Although rivals such as the Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20 offer diesel engine options, the Baleno remains the segment leader. The Baleno is powered by the same engine as the Swift, but it also has the option of a CVT automatic transmission.
